Hello and welcome! I’m Sarah, based in Auckland, New Zealand, working from a cabin amongst the native bush.
When I am not dreaming up designs, I am journaling in my Leuchtturm1917 notebook, clasping multiple brushes in one hand while making art with the other, or curating books and curiosities.
Inspired by nature, I love to paint and illustrate. That is why I like incorporating organic elements into my designs.
Let’s be open here. My formal training is in the Sciences and my work experience is in education - teaching and library work to be specific. Art has always been the energy-giver of my life. In design, I found the best platform for the symbiosis of my logical and creative faculties. I am a self-taught designer with a strong can-do attitude. Being an educator at heart, I love exploring, then distilling the essence of concepts and presenting them in understandable and usable ways.
I am always intrigued by how I judge a book by its cover or how I am willing to pay more for something, just because I think a product represents values that align with mine. As much as we tell ourselves not to fall into these traps, we are affected by what might seem minor details - vibe that a brand communicates. So are your customers.
Is your brand reflecting the value you can give?
Is it telling the right story?
Does your brand have character that your customers can relate to?
Do your customers know what’s special about you?
If you are muddled up, I can help you figure it out.
Speak to me if you are looking for a designer who will listen to you and can think within or outside the box - your choice.
Let’s have a conversation.
My designs are also available for licensing.
